Product Function:
1. The effect of reducing intraocular pressure on the separation of three forskolin analogues, isoforskolin, deacetylforskolin, and 1-acetyl forskolin, from Scutellaria scabra was studied. Basic and clinical pharmacological studies on glaucoma have shown that these three compounds have in vitro activation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate activity, and can all reduce normal rabbit intraocular pressure to varying degrees or inhibit high intraocular pressure in water loaded rabbits. It is speculated that 1-acetylforskolin has activity after metabolism in vivo.
 

2. Antiasthmatic and antispasmodic effects: The ethyl acetate extract from the flower of Scutellaria scabra has a strong anti asthmatic and antispasmodic effect. The analysis and evaluation of the anti asthmatic pharmacodynamics and acute toxicity experiments showed that its antispasmodic potency is 145 times that of aminophylline, while its toxicity is much lower than that of aminophylline.

 

3. Antihypertensive effect 1-acetyloxyforskoline and isopforskoline from Coleus majus flower extract can effectively reduce the blood pressure of anesthetized rats by Chemicalbook, and the effect is rapid and lasting in a dose-dependent manner, while there is no significant effect or statistical difference on heart rate and other parameters. However, compared to the widely used first-line antihypertensive drugs in clinical practice, further verification is needed to determine whether they have more advantages.

 

4. Inhibition of platelet aggregation: Isofoscolin can inhibit ADP, but the inhibitory effect has no significant selectivity for the three activation pathways of platelets. Its mechanism of action may be related to the direct activation of adenylate cyclase by Isofoscolin, which increases the level of cAMP in platelets. The intensity of its anticoagulant effect and the risk of bleeding need further evaluation and investigation.
