Phloroglucino-l is an organic compound with the chemical formula C6H6O3.

Chemical property:
Formaldehyde reacts with phloroglucino-l under alkaline conditions to form an orange red compound. Colorimetric measurements are conducted at a maximum absorption wavelength of 460nm to detect the presence of low trace amounts of formaldehyde in textiles and clothing.

Due to the tautomerism of enol and ketone forms of p-phenylenetriazole, it can react with ammoni-a as follows:

Under the action of ammoni-a, meta phenylenetriamine is obtained through a ketone reaction, and in acidic aqueous solutions, the amine is hydrolyzed to obtain meta phenylenetriamine. Phloroglucino-l can also react according to the enol formula:
