Product Introduction:
The main sources are Echinacea Purpurea, E.agustifolia, or E.pallida. [Plant morphology] Echinacea purpurea is a perennial plant, tall and thick, reaching 24-36 inches in height. After summer, the flowers of the plant bloom sporadically until frost dies. The flowers are purple red, with drooping petals and yellow pollen. The leaves are wide and have a brown conical center on the dark veins. The height of E. agustifChemicalbookolia is only 6 to 20 inches, and its stem is covered with hard steel hairs. It has narrow leaves, which are oval or rectangular in shape, spear shaped, densely covered with fluff, dark green, 3-8cm long, with 3-5 main leaf veins. The flowers are pink to red, and the petals are shorter and wider than those of E. pallida. It extends around and does not droop. The pollen is yellow, and the purple seeds have a conical head, with a long main root. Grey pine chrysanthemum E. pallida has small (80cm high) narrow leaves, grayish purple petals, drooping, and white pollen.

Extraction Method:
The production process of Echinacea purpurea (EP) extract (4%) is to grind the original medicinal material into coarse powder and reflux with 70% ethanol for extraction. The ethanol extract is sucked into the vacuum concentration tank, and the ethanol is recovered to about 1/4 of the original volume (the recovered solution also contains 15%~20% ethanol). The centrifugal solution is obtained through centrifugation, and is reduced to 15 ± 5 Baume (thermal measurement). A proper amount of auxiliary materials are added. After mixing, spray drying, sieving, mixing, and packaging are completed. The yield of the product produced by this process is 24%~25%, and the content of chicory acid is about 4%. It is suitable for the production of Echinacea purpurea extract containing 4% chicory acid. 2. Extraction and separation of 1 kg of chicory acid from chicory leaves. Add 5 L of boiling water, stir for 1-2 hours, filter, add 20% lead acetate solution to Chemicalbook filtrate, centrifuge, wash the precipitate with water, suspend in 300 ml of water, introduce H2S gas, heat the mixture on a steam bath, filter, obtain yellow filtrate and PbS precipitate. Wash the PbS precipitate with 50 ml of boiling water, combine the yellow filtrate and water wash solution, and concentrate under vacuum at 100 ºC, Extract the concentrated solution (130ml) twice with 80ml of ether. The ether portion was recrystallized with water, decolorized with activated carbon, and finally 0.4-1.1 g of chicoric acid was obtained. Cichoric acid m.p.206 °[ α] 383.5 ° (C1.555, methanol), turns green when exposed to ferric chloride, and its solution turns yellow under alkaline conditions. It changes color when placed in air.

Product Function:
1. Immune stimulation effect: Inulin exerts its effect by increasing the number of granulocytes and white blood cells, which can enhance the chemotaxis of monocytes and neutrophils and produce bacteriolytic effect. 2. Tissue renewal and anti infection can inhibit the hyaluronidase (hyaluronidase), stimulate the growth of fibroblasts and the synthesis of glucosamine enzyme, produce the effect of corticosteroids, and promote the secretion of adrenal cortical hormone. Polysaccharides have anti infective effects.

3. Antibacterial activity: Echinacetin and caffeic acid derivatives have weak antibacterial activity. The n-hexane extract inhibits the growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Candidashehata, C.kefyr, C.albicans, C.steatulytica, and C.tropicalis yeast strains to varying degrees under near-UV light irradiation, with minimal inhibition without light (general antifungal effect). Among the separated compounds, trideca-1-ene-3, 5, 7, 9, 10-pentayne showed significant phototoxicity, while undeca-2E, 4Z di ene-8, 10-diynoicacid isobutylamine and decade-2E, 4E, 8Z, 10E/Z-tetraenoicacid isobutylamine showed only weak phototoxicity. The phototoxic effect of Echinacea purpurea is mainly attributed to the abundant hydrocarbons and ketoalkynes in its roots.

4. The antiviral effect can inhibit influenza, herpes and blistering viruses. The antiviral activity is attributed to the inhibition of hyaluronidase, which can block the viral receptor on the cell surface. 5. Excessive dosage of toxic side effects may lead to low fever, and sensitive patients may develop dermatitis.
