Product Introduction:
This product is a light yellow powder obtained by extracting and drying Scutellaria baicalensis; Mild in breath, bitter in taste. It can be used in both medicine and cosmetics, making it a good functional cosmetic ingredient.

SPECIFICATION
Assay: 10:1  ,20:1

Product Advantage:
Scutellaria baicalensis has the effects of clearing heat, drying dampness, purging fire, and detoxifying. In addition to clearing lung heat, Scutellaria baicalensis also has the effect of stopping bleeding and preventing miscarriage. In clinical practice, it can be used to treat diseases such as diarrhea, dysentery, dampness and warmth, jaundice, and heat drenching caused by dampness and heat. It can also be used to treat lung heat, cough, or diseases such as hyperthermia, high fever, and irritability. In addition, it has certain therapeutic effects on heat toxic sores, sore throat, various bleeding syndromes, and fetal heat discomfort. In traditional Chinese medicine, Scutellaria baicalensis is a bitter and cold product. It is very bitter and has cold properties. It belongs to the five meridians of the Large Intestine Meridian, Small Intestine Meridian, Gallbladder Meridian, Lung Meridian, and Spleen Meridian, and is particularly good at purging the fire in the lungs and large intestine. It is an important medicine for clearing heat and drying dampness. It can be used with Gardenia jasminoides and Coptis chinensis to clear lung heat, as well as with Anemarrhena asphodeloides and Sangbai to clear liver fire. It can also be used with Peony bark and Platycladus orientalis leaves to cool blood and stop bleeding. For patients with fetal restlessness, Scutellaria baicalensis can be used to stop bleeding and prevent miscarriage.

Product Function:
(1) Anti inflammatory and anti allergic effects: Baicalin and baicalin have a relieving effect on isolated tracheal allergic contractions in guinea pigs and overall allergic asthma in animals, and are synergistic with ep-hedrine.

(2) Antibacterial effect Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi has a wide antibacterial spectrum. It has inhibitory effects on dysentery bacillus, diphtheria bacillus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, staphylococcus, streptococcus, pneumococcus and meningococcus in test tubes. The decoction used as throat spray is also effective for meningitis carriers. Even staphylococcus aureus, which has developed resistance to penicillin, is still sensitive to Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi Georgi.

(3) Early reports on antipyretic effects showed that intravenous injection of 4-6 milliliters of 6% Scutellaria baicalensis extract into rabbits with fever caused by vaccines had antipyretic effects. However, in the future, high-dose Scutellaria baicalensis decoction (which is 4-30 times larger than the amount of Scutellaria baicalensis extract injected intravenously) was used orally or intramuscularly, but it was not confirmed to have antipyretic effects. If intravenous injection is used, it has a slight antipyretic effect, which is the same as intravenous injection of physiological saline, 5 grams/kg of Scutellaria baicalensis cannot reduce fever in rabbits caused by thermal puncture.

(4) Hypotension and diuretic effects: Huangqin tincture, infusion, decoction, alcohol or water extract, baicalin can have a hypotensive effect on anesthetized dogs, cats, rabbits by intravenous, intramuscular injection or enema.

In acute diuretic experiments, baicalin has the strongest effect, followed by baicalin, and baicalin is poor. Baicalin alcohol extracts and decoctions (normal humans and rabbits) also have diuretic effects.

(5) Effects on blood lipids and blood sugar. Huangqin and Sanhuang preparations (Huanglian: Huangqin: Dahuang 1:1:1) have no effect on the ratio of total cholesterol to total phospholipids in the serum of normal rabbits, but can reduce this ratio in rabbits fed with cholesterol for 7 weeks. For thyroidectomy rabbits, this ratio can also be reduced by Sanhuang preparations. Scutellaria baicalensis can cause a slight increase in blood sugar.

(6) Bile promoting and spasmolytic effects: Huangqin decoction and ethanol extract can increase the excretion of bile in dogs and rabbits. Baicalin has a more significant effect than Huangqin, while Hanbaicalin has no effect. Baicalin increases bilirubin (compared to the control group) in rabbits with total bile duct ligation within 1-6 hours, but decreases after 24-48 hours.

(7) Sedative effect: Baicalin can inhibit spontaneous activity in mice, and the intensity of the action is dose-dependent. Huangqin decoction can inhibit positive conditioned reflex in mice, which may be due to its strengthening of the cortical inhibitory process. It can be used for hypertension caused by increased nerve excitability and insomnia.

(8) Other effects: Intravenous injection of tincture of Scutellaria baicalensis roots and stems can eliminate the symptoms of tonic spasms in frogs, cats, and dogs poisoned with stry-chnine, and prevent animals from dying.
